One year after its launch, the Istanbul Fashion Connection will hold its third edition from 8 to 11 February 2023, for which 600 exhibitors have been announced.
With 45,000 square metres of exhibition space at the Istanbul Expo Center, IFCO aims to offer an overview of local production to professionals in the sector, especially Europeans.
Some 25,000 visitors from around 100 countries are expected by the organisers, including ITKIB (Istanbul Textile and Clothing Exporters Association) and IHKIB (Istanbul Ready-to-Wear Exporters Association).
The fair will be made up of several areas with different themes, such as Core Istanbul, a new area dedicated to the designers of Istanbul Fashion Week, including Arzu Kaprol
The IFCO Brands space, for its part, will be devoted to local brands seeking to spread their wings internationally. LineExpo, devoted to lingerie and corsetry, is expecting 140 manufacturers. Not forgetting the inevitable IFCO sourcing and its manufacturers dedicated to supplying international brands.
Favoured by customs-cleared exports to the Old Continent, Turkey is historically the European Union’s third largest supplier of clothing (5.6 billion euros in the first half of 2022), behind China and Bangladesh, in addition to being its second largest textile supplier.
The Istanbul Fashion Connection event will be followed by the Texhibition trade fair from March 8 to 10. This time it will be dedicated to textile manufacturers from the region.
