H&M launches in new markets in Europe, the Americas
H&M
The Swedish fashion retail giant debuted in Costa Rica in Central America on August 20 with the country becoming its 78th market. There’s clearly plenty of pent-up demand there with over 1,000 people queuing before the doors opened. The store is located in San José, Escazú.
The debut followed a new European store as the firm set foot in North Macedonia for the first time, in the the East Gate Mall in Skopje on August 18.
The new 2,300 sq m store in Skopje offers the brand’s full fashion line-up.
Finally, the online debut in Uruguay follows H&M’s four years in the country with physical stores (it now has three locations there). Uy.hm.com is H&M’s 57th online market and Uruguay is only the fourth South American country to have a dedicated webstore.
