True to the Fast Retailing
“We are extremely excited to have Uniqlo’s new downtown Seattle anchor store opening at 300 Pine, just steps away from the bustling Westlake Park,” said Shawn Jackson, Urban Renaissance Group managing director, Seattle.
“This great addition to our retail core will bring even more energy to the already vibrant shopping and restaurant experience in the immediate neighborhood.”
The Seattle opening is the second U.S. store opening for Uniqlo this fall, as part of the retailer’s five-year expansion strategy announced earlier this year. Parent Fast Retailing said it is focused on increasing Uniqlo’s presence in key U.S. regions such as the east and west coast, while entering new cities across the U.S. and Canada. It aims to open 30 new stores a year to reach 200 in North America by 2027.
“Since opening our first store in the Seattle area in 2015, we have enjoyed serving our customers in the Pacific Northwest with the highest level of service and apparel that suits all lifestyles,” said Daisuke Tsukagoshi, Uniqlo North America CEO.
“We look forward to joining the downtown Seattle community at 300 Pine – a destination for shoppers, visitors, and workers alike—with our LifeWear clothing that is made for everyone, every day.”
Founded in 1984, Uniqlo today boasts more than 2,300 stores across the world, including 44 stores in the U.S.
