Karl Lagerfeld celebrates 100 years of Disney

Launching February 23 on Karl.com and at select retailers, the collection’s pièce de résistance is none other than the now-iconic sketch Lagerfeld himself drew of Donald Duck for the latter’s 70th birthday back in 2004. Along with the endearing wishes: “Dear Donald, 7 is a great number — 10 times 7 is even better! Happy Birthday! Love, Karl” — apropos of the late designer’s lucky number. The infamous duck illustration takes on Lagerfeld’s discernable style, dressed in a high-collared shirt, dark sunglasses and skinny jeans — giving the bird’s dapper uncle, Scrooge McDuck, a run for his money.

The capsule, which caters to both men and women, boasts various pieces such as t-shirts, skirts, bomber jackets, trench-coats and accessories: tote bags, phone cases, jewelry, shoes and scarves add up to a complete selection. Several of which are made out of sustainable materials, such as organic cotton and recycled polyester, as a part of the brand’s KARL CARES eco-conscious program.

Prices range between 49 euros for an iPhone case and 379 euros for a bomber jacket.
